What our games collect, why, and the choices you have — in plain English.
This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use games published by
Coding Ibex (“we”, “us”, “our”), how it is used, and the
choices you have. It applies to our mobile game STAX
(Google Play package com.codeibex.stax) and to any other app of ours that links
to this policy.
Coding Ibex is an independent game studio. We are the “data controller” for the limited personal data processed through our games. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section.
None. Our games have no registration, no sign-up form and no contact form. We only receive personal information from you if you choose to email us.
The game saves the following locally on your device so it can remember your progress. This data stays on your device, is not transmitted to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the app:
Our games include third-party software (SDKs) that may collect information automatically. Broadly, these services may process:
Each service below has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your data. We recommend reviewing them.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Shows banner, interstitial and rewarded ads | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) | Collects and records your advertising consent choice | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Unity Ads | Supplies ads through AdMob mediation | unity.com/legal |
| ironSource / Unity LevelPlay | Supplies ads through AdMob mediation | developers.is.com |
| Google Play Games Services | Optional sign-in, global leaderboards | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Google Play Billing | Processes in-app purchases and subscriptions | policies.google.com/privacy |
We do not sell your personal information.
Ads may be personalised (based on an advertising profile) or non-personalised (based only on general context). Where required by law — for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom — the game shows a consent form on first launch, provided by Google’s User Messaging Platform, before any personalised ads are requested.
You can change your mind at any time:
Opting out of personalised ads does not remove ads; it means the ads you see will be less relevant.
Signing in to Google Play Games is optional — the game is fully playable without it. If you sign in, your Play Games display name and score may be visible to other players on the public leaderboard. Whether other players can see your name is controlled by your Play Games profile visibility setting, which you manage in the Google Play Games app, not by us. Your leaderboard score is stored by Google under your Google account and is not deleted when you uninstall our game.
Our games are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Data stored on your device remains until you delete the app data or uninstall the game. Data held by the third parties listed above is retained according to their own policies. Leaderboard scores are retained by Google Play Games under your Google account.
The third-party services we use operate globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those providers use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required by law.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of the EEA/UK have these rights under the GDPR; residents of California have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and the right to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.
Because we do not hold an account for you, most requests are handled fastest directly with the relevant provider (Google, Unity or ironSource). You can also uninstall the game to remove all locally stored data. To make a request to us, use the contact details below.
We rely on the security of the platforms we build on — Google Play, Google Play Games and the operating system on your device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we add a new feature or service. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Significant changes will be highlighted in the app or on this page.
This section applies to STAX (Google Play package
com.codeibex.stax), published by Coding Ibex. You can delete your
data yourself using the steps below, or ask us to do it for you.
Email Usman@codingibex.com with the subject “Data deletion request”. Please include the name of the app (STAX) and, if you signed in, your Google Play Games display name so we can identify the right record. We aim to respond within 30 days.
| Data | Where it lives | On deletion | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| Scores, lives, settings, owned skins, tutorial flag | Your device only | Deleted immediately on uninstall | None once removed |
| Leaderboard score, Play Games display name | Google (your Google account) | Deleted via Play Games settings | Held by Google until you delete it |
| Advertising ID, ad interaction data | Our advertising partners (see section 3) | Reset/deleted in Android ad settings, or on request to the partner | Per each partner’s own retention policy |
| Purchase records | Google Play | Retained by Google as a transaction record | Kept by Google for legal and accounting purposes |
We do not operate our own servers or user accounts, so we hold no personal database of our own to delete from.
